RTC with Clearquest Connector

Can someone list out steps if they have done RTC with CQ connector
1. Does the CQ forms fields needs to be exactly same workitems field ( i.e 1-1 mapping). if a field name environment is in CQ record the same field name environment should be in RTC work item ?
2. Do we need to make a customize workitem type in which the field matches one with the CQ record type form

The names of the CQ record fields do not have to be identical to the RTC work item fields. In the synchronization rule, you declare which CQ record field maps to which RTC work item field.
It's up to you whether or not you want to customize an existing work item type or create your own. If you decide that there isn't a work item field that is suitable to contain the value for a CQ record field, then you can customize the work item by adding a field to it.
