rqm-license-profile.ini file is missing-rqm 3.0 install

Sub M (611) | asked Jul 12 '11, 10:10 p.m.
This is on linux using command line. Installation went through fine. While following install guide steps to configure RQM, I noticed this file is missing. Is there anyway to get this file and related folders without reinstalling the whole thing?

Thanks,
smn

Hi,

Please take a look at this infocenter link (this is 2.0.1 but the same applies for 3.0.1.x):
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rqmhelp/v2r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_modify_profile_ini.html

This may be as simple as touching the file rqm-license-profile.ini in the provision_profiles directory and adding the correct url= and featureid= values. There is a difference in escaping the slashes between RHEL and SUSE according the that infocenter link.

The infocenter link above shows url= and featureid= on the same line. I always seen them on separate lines in rqm-license-profile.ini

You can probably chmod the file to same as the other ini files in provision profiles.

Thanks,
Brett
