Does RQM 3.0 have native support for requirements?

Ryan Rayner (361715) | asked Jul 12 '11, 11:03 a.m.
We are moving to RQM 3.0 but our RRC install is running behind this by a number of months. in the meantime, will we still be able to track requirements in RQM 3.0 without the external RRC application? Right now we are tracking requirements directly in RQM and really like this feature.

Please advise whether we will continue to have support for requirements if we install V3...thanks!

RQM 3.0 requires an external requirement management system such as RRC, ReqPro, or DOORS.

Yes, you will continue to have support for requirements if you install
RQM 3.0.1. The difference is that in version 3, both RQM (a product)
and RRC (another product) use the same application (the "RM" or
"Requirements Management" application) to provide requirement
capabilities, while in version 2, RQM and RRC each had their own
(different) requirement implementations.

Part of the upgrade to RQM 3.0.1 involves a migration of the RQM
requirement data from the old RQM-2.* format to the new RQM-3.0.1 format.

Cheers,
Geoff
