Upgrade to 1.0.1.1 successful, log in not

I updated successfully to 1.0.1.1 from 1.0.1, and I can no longer log in to the DB. When I try to log in as ADMIN, it gives:

You have successfully logged into Jazz Team Server but you are not authorized to access Rational Quality Manager.

Contact your Jazz Team Server Administrator to learn how to get access.

Return to the Log In screen.

Is the ADMIN user still a member of the project area that you are trying to connect to?

Yes

I would have to select a project at first to login, now it just gives the message.

That happened to me the first time I tried to log in, and then shortly thereafter a new login screen appeared and I was able to log in as ADMIN. Did you notice anything like that? Try it again perhaps.

I stopped, then started the server, rebooted, logged in as ADMIN, and as the other account...still the same... :(

Does ADMIN have a CAL assigned? If not, then this is probably the problem.

Aargh!!

Just talked to support, it's a bug. We have to go back to 1.0.1 from scratch...

I too have to go back to 1.0.1 (arrgghhh indeed), and have had to re-install RQM too many times. How do you reach support or do you have to wait the 1-2 days until they (might) respond to an email plea for help?

We have a maintenance contract...

Hi, just to let you know, you can also search the RTC forum and work items for related information; since RQM is built on RTC/Jazz, they share some of the same issues. The license upgrade should be listed there (I will add a link when I find it).

Another resource is the Search on www.ibm.com. This problem was described in Tech Note #1377636. If you have a number you can Search on that, or else type in Search text such as "RQM License 1.0.1".
