Migration from CQTM to RQM

1) The teams are using a custom CQ schema for Test (modified the CQTM package) and Defect management. To migrate projects using CQTM to RQM, I have started tht mapping of CQTM to RQM WorkItems. However, since this is a custom schema any
special steps to follow?
2) Also, with respect to the Defects having integration with RequisitePro, how will they be handled during the migration?

Just as a matter of interest, why aren't you using the migration tool provided for CQ to RQM conversion .. this involves adding in a a plug-in to the cq database repository and exporting the data for inclusion in RQM

Its not that I am not using the migration tool, I was just concerned by the fact that its a custom schema. Will this be easily handled by the tool?

I have been advised not to customise the Rational Quality Manager default process.

The CQTM to RQM migration tool uses a mapping file that allows essentially any CQ artifact and field to any RQM artifact and field. By default it is set up to handle the default CQTM package as included in the Enterprise schema, but is intended to be modifiable to handle customizations.

There isn't a default relationship in the migration tool for defects on requirements. The CQTM migration tool tries to handle the integrations of supporting products with CQTM, but Requisite Pro and CQ use their own methods to perpetuate their records in the RQM environment, and I would expect that the integration between them would be handled by one or the other. It might be possible to shoehorn it into the CQTM migration tool, but it isn't the expected use for that tool.

The configuration file structure is explained in the documentation and at the infocenter help:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rqmhelp/v1r0m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/c_customiize_cqtm_migration.html
