How to configure email for sending out the team invitation

How do we configure email so that when an team invitation is sent out it sends email. Currently it is not sending out an email and no error is throwing out.

I'm looking to customise RTC generated emails which looks as though its an as yet unplanned change request. Has anyone successfully implemented a workaround in the meantime?

Any ideas or suggestions also appreciated.
