RTC Planning - Timelines

All,

This is hopefully simple. I created a Formal Project...project and I want to add some plans. However, there is a Timeline called Release 1.0, which is fine, but I can't seem to add a new Release 2.0 at the same level as this one.

How is that done?

thanks...

In 3.0.1, in either the Eclipse or web client, when editing the Project
Area, you would click on the "Create Timeline" button.

To do this, you must have permissions to save a project area.

My apologies, I was really unclear.

There is a level "Main Development". Under this are two iterations "Release 1.0" & Backlog. These were created by default. Under "Release 1.0" are Requirements, Design, Implementation & Testing.

I want to add Release 2.0 at the same level as Release 1.0, but I can not do this. I can either create at the level of Main Development, or under Release 1.0 (The level of the waterfall iterations Requirements, Design, etc.

How can I create a Release 2.0 that has a Requirements, Design, etc phase on the same "tree level" as Release 1.0?

thanks

Not got the UI in front of me to check - but I recall in the past that I select the Main Development line - then click on create new iteration button and that creates another entry at the same level as release 1. The trick is to select the main development line.

Apologies in advance if my memory is failing me :-)

As a general comment, yes, you can do this.
For more specific guidance, it would be best for you to specify what
version of RTC you are using, and what client (Eclipse or Web UI).

Cheers,
Geoff
