How to remove work item tags from the repository ?

RTC 3.0.1
Is it possible to remove tags from the repository ?
Some tags have been created for some work items but they are not correct, and we would like these tags will not be suggested anymore.
Thanks.

To remove tags from the repository you simply remove all instances of the tag from the work items and they will no longer appear in the content assist. If you are referring to hiding used tags from the content assist, Geoffrey's referenced work item answers that.

I have done this and content assist still shows the incorrect tag

Did you run a query for the incorrect tag (with no other options) in the Project Area? Tags are per Project Area, not Team Areas, and I have seen it work this way several times in the past. I hope nothing changed. Also, content assist may not change until after a browser refresh, or a restart of Eclipse.

Was this ever fixed? Tags that were created by mistake (e.g. with a typo) and removed afterwards still show up in the auto completion although no work item with this tag exists.
