Connect to RCQ using Rational Insight

Hi,

I would like to connect to RCQ (Rational Clear Quest) from Rational Insight. Hence, pull the data from RCQ from RI XDC( XML Data Configuration) tool. What are the things to be required to pull data? How many ways are there to retrieve the data from RCQ through Rational Insight? I appreciate you in advance for your suggestions.

I would like yo know the URL that i should specify in the URL Thru teh XML Data Configuration for Cq
The cq URL say is http://prangach.in.ibm.com and the DBset name is LTGICL-export and userdb is UGCIL.
PLs mention how teh URL would be .

The XDC tools is a modeling tools , which use to map data structure from REST server.
This xdc tool is not directly connect to Clear quest. It connects with Clear Quest through REST server. The ETL is pulling the data from REST Server.

The REST server URL looks like:
http://www.ibmserver.com:9080/DataServices/clearquest/CQ.cational/RATLC
after you have your user name & pwd in Clear quest database, you can log on. It will list all the schema of the database

In the XDC tool, create a new resource group and input the URL as followed:

http://host:port/DataServices/ClearQuest//

select the Basic authentication type and input the User/password for the user db and dbset.

Then you can create the resource using locate using data services in the resource wizard.
