Insight 1.0.1 Install Problem - loading libraries:libXm.so.3
I am having problems installing Insight 1.0.1 on Linux 64 Bit machine.
Machine Configuration: GNU/Linux : x86_64 The IBMIM installer is not able to install Insight. I am getting following error during installation: /opt/ibm/RationalInsight/install/cognos_bi/linuxi38632/issetup: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory UserID performing installation task is having root access on machine. Pre Installtion check is also done well. I tried to analyse the problem, but not able to get any solution. Can any one help me in this regard. |

Did you follow all of the preinstallation steps listed in the following document? http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rentrpt/v1r0m1/topic/com.ibm.rational.raer.install.doc/topics/t_prereq_reportalserver_rhel.html If so, can you provide some more details about your environment? Which Linux distro and version are you using? |

I followed the steps described in Preinstallation. Even after all the things setup, the same error i am getting. Following is my system properties: Linux 2.6.18-194.el5 #1 SMP Tue Mar 16 21:52:39 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Please let me know, if any info required. |

Can you tell me which Linux distro and version your are installing on? Have you tried rebooting since the last failed installation attempt? |

Following are the details of machine: Release Info : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.2 (Tikanga) Linux version 2.6.18-194.el5 (mockbuild@x86-005.build.bos.redhat.com) (gcc version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-48)) #1 SMP Tue Mar 16 21:52:39 EDT 2010 I rebooted the machine and tried to install again. After this i got following error: /opt/ibm/RationalInsight/install/cognos_bi/linuxi38632/issetup: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Please suggest me how to go for installation. |
