JazzConnect-Jira: more than Work Items synchronisation?
Hi,
Looking at the specifications of JazzConnect-Jira, I understand that it does only take care of the Work items / Isues synchronisation, right? This would obviously be why I inquired about the Stream or SCM Synchronizer.
I understand that RTC3 is using the Jazz Foundation version 1 and is therefore supported by JazzConnect-Jira, correct?
Thanks for the info,
Patrick
PS: I will PM Stephen Toop (CM-Logic) to catch his attention on this message.

Yes, a Jira connector would only handle work items and issues, since
Jira is just a bug/issue tracker. If you wanted a connector for an SCM
system, you'd need a connector for that particular SCM system. Or did I
misunderstand your question?
WRT what versions of RTC are supported by JazzConnect-Jira, you would
have to confirm that with the providers of the connector (CM-Logic).
The work item component of RTC is part of the CCM application, not part
of the Jazz Foundation, so it is the CCM application version that would
determine compatibility.
Cheers,
Geoff

Thanks Stephen! One clarification on the RTC/CCM terminology:
RTC (Rational Team Concert) is still the product name.
CCM is the name of an application (the "Change and Configuration
Management" application) that provides capabilities to several
Jazz-based products (RTC, RQM, and RRC). Which capabilities you have
access to depends on which license you have been assigned.
My original point that the version of the CCM application is what
matters in this case (whether you are using RTC, RQM, or RRC), because
it is the CCM application that provides the work item capability used by
the JazzConnect-JIRA bridge.
Cheers,
Geoff

Hello,
JazzConnect-JIRA is supported on all versions of RTC from 2.0 through
to 3.0.1 (or CCM as we now refer to it)
Thanks
