Installation failure with existing eclipse
I am trying to install RTC 3.0 and have also tried RTC 3.0.1 RC1 always with a failure.
I am running the following: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit java version "1.6.0_25" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_25-b06) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b11, mixed mode) Eclipse helios 3.6.2 with latest updates. When I try to install using the installation manager I get this message in the installation log file: 80 INFO 00:56.28 C:\eclipse-jee-helios-SR1-win32-x86_64\eclipse\eclipse.exe -initialize -nosplash --launcher.suppressErrors 81 ERROR 00:56.30 Eclipse: Failed to load the JNI shared library "C:/Users/janssens/DOCUME~1/RTC-WE~1.1RC/im/win32.win32.x86//jre_5.0.4.sr11_20091106a/jre/bin\j9vm\jvm.dll". 82 ERROR CRIMA7C418E87E 00:56.64 Eclipse initialize returned with error status=-1 83 INFO 00:56.74 Elapsed time 00:00.46 for: C:\eclipse-jee-helios-SR1-win32-x86_64\eclipse\eclipse.exe -initialize -nosplash --launcher.suppressErrors This same error occurs with the RTC 3.0 and the RTC 3.0.1 client. This issue was resolved by adding a line in my eclipse.ini prior to -vmargs that says: -vm C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe Now I get further in the installation but am now failing with the message: 85 INFO 01:21.69 Collecting artifacts for com.ibm.cic.agent 1.4.3000.20110303_1846 features: agent_core,agent_jre. I believe this post http://jazz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=55359#55359 may help me, but on an older version.
