Copy a component to another component

I'm not sure that such a backup is what you require (i.e. in the general context of RTC SCM, it doesn't make sense to backup the contents of one component to another). What are you trying to achieve? If you just want to be able to access the state of your component at a particular time, then all you need to do is create a baseline or a snapshot. If this isn't what you need, then please describe what you are trying to accomplish?

You can create another stream, call it backup, then you can add your component which you want to backup to this stream. This is one of the ways how I keep a secure copy of component.
