How do I change the default workflow of a TestPlan?

Hi,

When you use Reject Action of a TestPlan it is goint to Draft state. I want to chane this to go to Rejected state.

Do I need to use Team Concert client to make changes in the default workflow of a TestPlan?

I looked both on RQM admin section System Properties and Preferences could not find anything related to workflow, either on Jazz Team concert client.

Would you please tell me where the default workflow can be changed of a artifact?

Thank you

Elena

 Hello Elena,

Yes, it's possible to modify the workflow of a test plan or any other test artifact. In order to do it follow these steps:
  1. Go to the project administration page, e.g. https://rqmserver:9443/qm/admin
  2. In the left menu, click Workflows under Test Artifacts
  3. The Workflows editor will show up
  4. In the Workflow Bindings section, click the edit button next to the Test Plan entry
  5. If you already have a "Rejected" state, go to step 9
  6. If you don't have a "Rejected" state, click the Add... link in the States table
  7. In the "New State" dialog, enter "Rejected" for the state name and choose a state group and an icon for it.
  8. Click the OK button.
  9. Delete the "Reject" action (Target State is not editable.)
  10. Click the Add... link in the Actions table.
  11. Create a new action called "Reject" with Target State "Rejected".
  12. Now that you have a "Reject" action which takes you to a "Rejected" state, go to the State Transitions table and assign the "Reject" action where it applies according to your process needs. For example, you can create a state transition From Under Review To Rejected by selecting Reject in the intersection of the Under Review row (From) and Rejected column (To).
