Problem "This server is offline or unreachable"

James Labrie (18123818) | asked Mar 31 '11, 4:08 a.m.
Hi,

I'm configuring the following environment.

OS:Widnows 2003
RTC3.0 ifix1
WAS 7.0 fix15

Setup has been completed properly and I could access https://server:9443/jts/admin and https://server:9443/ccm/admin.

But, after restarting the server machine, https://server:9443/ccm/admin got unreachable.
I can access https://server:9443/jts/admin.

On the Jazz Team Server Administration Home, the link https://server:9443/ccm/admin does not appear.
Also, clicking "Home Menu", which is next to the "Home" icon, I can see the message "This server is offline or unreachable".

What is the cause of the problem and how can I solve it?

Please give me a suggestion about it.

It sounds like the ccm app has disappeared. Assuming you have no data - I recommend running setup again and see if that helps. Also check the ccm (and jts logs) in case there is some other problem.

FYI I had this same "server offline" error after performing a server reset (?internal=true and then click the serer reset).  I am used to going to the URL "localhost" vs. the public URI.  After resetting, the localhost URL gave me the "server offline" error.  Using the public URI worked fine.  There was an UnknownHost exception in the jts log, which is the only reason I tried the public URI.

Hopefully this will save someone time in the future.
