project services/details/ signatures change intervals

I can connect to get the list of projects for which I might want to open/update work items. I might have hundreds of these projects.

how often will the supporting services functions signatures change? (daily?), or really never, as they are persistant at the project creation?

ie, can I cache these service urls? rather than look them up every time? I know in my business processes that I won't create projects more than once a month, and I can build a regular scheduled process to build the cache.
