Moving a work item type from one project area to another

I have created a custom work item type in project area A, and I want to use that work item type in project area B. Is there an "easy" way to move this work item type, without having to cut and paste all the relevant xml source from one project area to another?

You can try to extract process template from Project A and import this
process template. Then you can use this process template to create new
project which will contain all the process configuration source from
Project A.
