Need help with customizing work item

Narayanan Potti (27037279) | asked Aug 19 '09, 12:32 p.m.
Hello everyone

I am new to RTC and I have quite a few "how to" questions with the initial setup. We're using RTC 1.0.1.1. I am required to customize Task work item by adding a few custom fields. Here's what I tried: In the Project area, Process Configuration, expanded Configuration Data, Work Items. In Types and Attributes added a new Custom attribute of type String and saved the project.

When opening a new work item of type Task I see a tab named Custom which has a section called Miscellaneous and the newly added attribute appears there. But I cannot enter anything in there. What are the steps I missed ?

The available documentation is not real helpful for a newbie like me. Any help will be much appreciated !

Thank You

The missing step was to add an attribute presentation which tells the
editor where to show the custom attribute. For details, please check out
