Import change sets from CC/CQ UCM (multistream model) in RTC
On jazz.net following article "
http://jazz.net/library/article/550 describes how to import change sets from CC/CQ UCM into RTC. The use-case handles the import of the CC integration stream containing baselines and activities. But how can we import the change sets (= link between activity in CQ and code versions in CC) in an environment with development streams (containing the activities) and the integration stream (containing the baselines) -> kind of OOTB UCM model? Importing development streams will not contain baselines, so the will import nothing? Is it possible to import this linked information (CQ activity and CC versions) -with the UCM multistream model using different development streams- into RTC remaining linked (WI and files attached/change set)? And if yes, how would you do it? |

Importing individual change sets is not supported by the CC
Synchronizer. The reason is that the versioning models of CC and RTC are different, so you cannot bring over change sets (UCM activities). In particular, in RTC, the namespace versioning model is that a version of a file/folder identifies its parent element and the name it has in that parent element (a folder version has no idea what its children are), while in CC, a folder version knows the name and element of each of its children (a file/folder version has no idea what its parent is). Try to imagine how you would map a new CC folder version into new RTC versions (don't try too hard, because you cannot :-).
