CQ Connector: Only one external type allowed
Hi,
I'm trying to setup the CQ Connector with the DefectTracking schema
that ships with CQ (ie. not the DefectTrackingInterop one that ships
with the connector). The gateway appears to start fine, and I can run CQ
fine as well. I was able to create an external repository connection but
when I try to create a sync rule for the Defect record in CQ, all I'm
allowed to select in the External Type field is 'attachments -
com.ibm.rational.clearquest.CQ_CONN'. Did I miss a step somewhere?

Yes, I did apply the Interop Package to the schema. However, it only
shows the attachment record as a external record type that is available.
This is M6a.

You'll need to apply the JazzInterop package to your DefectTracking
schema in order to enable synchronization of your CQ record types.
Please refer to the Modifying the schema to use the Connector in the
online help.

I could have sworn I chose the defect record. Is it possible to modify
after the package is applied?

I went into the CQ Designer to verify that I had specified the defect
record was using the JazzInterop package. It appears that I did. Screen
cap is attached. So I'm not sure where to look next.

Enter that url in a browser and make sure you are able to see the Welcome to the Jazz ClearQuest Connector Gateway page.
Also, when creating the sync rule, make sure you have the external repository field set and the external manager field is set to ClearQuest Manager (non-user records).

Yup. I get the welcome page. And the external repository field is
correctly set and the gateway is running. I've attached screencaps for
both. Is there some additional log file I could be checking the
Catalina.out file on the gateway side isn't showing much activity at all.
