Map new fields on Rational Insight, from RQM
We are developing some reports using "live connection", but some of them, we need to use "DW connection". We are facing some doubts in this integration (RQM x Insight) and we would like to know if you can help us. Follow our doubts :
1) We created some new fields in RQM side, in Defect (Work Item) form, these fields are from enumeration type, but we could not map these fields in Rational Insight side (xml data configuration, live packages or DW packages), even using REST services.
2) We created some new fields in Test Case and Test Plan forms, these fields are from grid section type, but we could not map these fields in Rational Insight side (xml data configuration, live packages or DW packages), even using REST services.
3) We have some reports that need Defect Creation Date field. There is this field in relational package, but the information in this field is not created date, but last updated date. Do you know if this field is in another package?
4) We have one report that we need Defect timestamp. We need to get information regarding Defect workflow (lifecycle, date modified, and so on) but we could not find these information in both packages (live and DW). Which package we can find this information?

Hello.
There is really no good support for custom attributes in RQM/RTC 2.x. However, the upcoming release provides systematic support for custom attributes for all three CLM products. See the Beta 2 guide https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/CLMWorkbenchScenarioBeta2 for some examples. In particular there is a document attached to this page that shows an example how reporting with these custom attributes will work: https://jazz.net/wiki/pub/Main/CLMWorkbenchScenarioBeta2/Common_Reporting_with_Custom_Attributes_in_RQM_RC0.doc. It uses RQM as an example, but RTC, RRC will work in the same way.
About 3: You could file a defect against RTC with tech support.
About 4: You should find this info in the REQUEST_STATE_HISTORY of the RIODS
Hope this helps,
Peter Haumer.

Hi,
I viewed https://jazz.net/wiki/pub/Main/CLMWorkbenchScenarioBeta2/Common_Reporting_with_Custom_Attributes_in_RQM_RC0.doc.
Notice references to "tables" called "...String Extension" or "...Integer Extension".
I have also found references in https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.jazz.reports.doc%2Ftopics%2Fqm_t_customatt.html.
I currently do not see these tables in our Reporting Data Model (DW).
We have an Out Of The Box (OOTB) installation of Insight 1.0.1.1 integrated with OOTB RQM 3.0.1.
We need to have the Custom Attributes in RQM exposed to our OOTB implementation of Insight 1.0.1.1 integrated with OOTB RQM 3.0.1. Please advise.
Thanks,
Phil

Hello Phil.
You need to download the Reporting Data Model from the CLM server and
replace the Insight model with it. We ship a model that includes
everything the Insight 1.0.1.1 model included plus the CLM extensions
plus three more localizations (cs, hu, ru).
See these steps to follow:
-
https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.rcpr.help.doc/topics/t_preparing_the_archive_files_for_import.html
-
https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.rcpr.help.doc/topics/t_import_data_model_package.html
Hope this helps,
Peter.
