Use of Forum Search for Author frustrating
This morning I read the following messages on jazz-dev@jazz.net, all with
Subject: Jazz Help...
From: "Suresh Krishna" <sharp.krishna@gmail.com>
From: Bill Higgins/Durham/IBM@IBMUS
From: Erich Gamma <erich_gamma@ch.ibm.com>
From: Lawrence C Smith/Raleigh/IBM@IBMUS
Wanting to see if Suresh Krishna did, indeed, follow up by posting a question to the Forum, I went to
https://jazz.net/community/forums.jsp
I selected jazz.user, found Search in tiny print at the bottom of the page, and did a Search for Author.
When sharp.krishna@gmail.com, krishna, sharp, Suresh Krishna, and Suresh each turned up nothing, I decided to experiment with this search by looking for my own posts.
I tried cjulbric@us.ibm.com, Carol, *Carol*, Ulbricht, and *Ulbricht* and each turned up nothing.
Note: in my profile, "Yes" is selected next to "Always show my e-mail address:"
Only cjulbric worked (it's my username).
This seems a little limited if you are looking for posts by someone and you are not sure if they registered yet, let alone what they might have picked for a username.
