When creating a new catalog and trying to connect to the empty Oracle db created for the catalog the following error occurs

DM-DBM-0306 UDA driver error connecting to 'Alias 066172C0'

we used the same name used with connecting with SQL Plus but not working;

the Data Manager field entry is for SQL *Net Service

Haven't found any answers in posts, guides, etc.
