RRDI migration to another server

Naveen V (791759) | asked Oct 04 '17, 12:19 p.m.

 Hi,

I have RRDI installed for CLM 502 version. Now I need to perform migration to another server. What is the best way to perform this ?
I am planning to do as below
1) Copy RRDI install folder
2) migrate the WAS profile

Same Alias name for both machines. Does this work for RRDI migration?

Thanks

Hi Naveen,

I don't think you can migrate the RRDI application by just copying 'RRDI' folder. You need to
1) Back up necessary data in the old server.

2) Install DB, WAS, RRDI 5.0.2 in the new server.
3) Run RRDI setup wizard. And restore the backup date.

Thanks Kenji for reply. I had done little different. But your solution also work.

I installed RRDI in same path as source server and then copied RRDI folder to destination server. Restored the WAS profile .. Used the same databases and then same DNS alias for the destination server. As of now its working great.

Thanks
