Integrating Doors 9.3.0.1 with RTC 3.0

Hello All,

Now we know that there is an integration between Doors and RTC.

I am trying to integrate both products with each other using the manual published in http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/doorshlp/v9/topic/com.ibm.doors.install.doc/topics/doors_int_admin_user.pdf

I am having a problem in finding the Change Management Server URL in Doors when using the Configuration Template.

It seems like whatever I try to enter does not work.
Any kind of comment / concern / question / suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
Regards

Hey just ran into this myself !

I was able to get the DOORS 9.3.0.1 and RTC 3 integration to work after receiving some helps from the DOORS integration team.

Currently, you need to configure your RTC 3 server to use the Basic Authentication instead of the default Form Authentication for the integration.

To do this,
a) shut down RTC 3 server

b) Edit /server/tomcat/webapps/jts/WEB-INF/web.xml
Comment out the FORM based and uncomment the BASIC

c) Edit /server/tomcat/conf/Catalina/localhost/ccm.xml, and jts.xml, replace the FormAuthenticator with BasicAuthenticator

d) restart RTC 3 server

From DOORS, specify the RTC server in either format

https://rtc3:9333/ccm/oslc/workitems/catalog
or
https://rtc3:9333/ccm/rootservices

Hope this helps,

- Yuhong

Hi,
I followed your steps and got the logon window. After I put RTC's logon id/password, I got error message saying the OSLC request is failed. Do you have any idea to solve it?
Thanks!

I ran into the same problem... in the first step, the DOORS configuration template accepted the RTC server URL (prompted me to log in), but in the second step, RTC was not available as an option, only ClearQuest. Any suggestions?

Vivienne.

I am able to connect to RTC server and create tasks in the associated project after doing whats mentioned in procedure above. However, I am not able to manage change requests using those tasks. The RCR window that appears before opening a module is empty.

Any ideas?
