IBM RTC 6.0.2: is there a way to use java API to develop widgets?

Hello,

I'm developing a widget, and the way that I'm getting the information from RTC is through REST calls but is limited, I can not get the planning information from the ccm, so I wanted to see if there is a second interafacing to get this information using java, not java scripts, and make it communicate with the viewlet..
