TAGs used as report parameter

Seems like this way of passing values to the TAGS parameter doesn't work. One value is fine but more than one values return nothing.

Any ideas of how to pass in multiple values to the TAGS parameter? Thanks.

Hi Clement,

The format you've used is correct. When querying for work item tags, we treat the query as an OR. That is, in your example below, it should return work items which have either 'qad' and 'qae' as tags.

If you'd like to see an example of a report where we're doing this, to compare your usage, I've just attached a report called "SVT" to our Reports Central page in the wiki:

https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/ReportsCentral

It passes a 'tags' parameter through from report parameter to data set parameter, which filters the work items accordingly. Let me know if this works for you with the tags you're specifying, or if it looks different from your usage.

my report actually is same to the svt report. the weird thing is passing either 'qad' or 'qae' would retrieve the work items but passing "'\qad\',\'qae\'" ended up with no results. could you test a little bit on your end by creating a dataset against ws_string_ext? thanks.

Clement,

Are you using LIVE_WORKITEM_CNT or the work items table from the LIVE_SNAPSHOT? If so, then querying on multiple tags won't work. This trick only works for warehoused data.

Nope... i am actually using the WS_STRING_EXT in WOKRITEMS_SNAPSHOT...

Okay, this looks like it may be a bug then, as this doesn't match our expected behaviour. Could you please open a defect for Reports in the RTC project area, and we'll take a look?

Thanks.
