Merging projects

Hi,

I'm investigating the possibility of merging two project areas running in two different RTC servers. Currently both are at RTC 2, and I know there is no way to merge projects in this release (other than exporting/importing work items via CSV, which is imperfect in many ways). Are there any improvements in RTC 3 that would make merging projects easier?

Thanks,
Kieron

Hi,

you could try using distributed SCM to bring the SCM content over.

Thanks for the idea, but we're mainly interested in the work items, or simply exporting the project from one server, and importing it as a new project area into the second. One of the projects doesn't use Jazz SCM, so distributed SCM isn't a factor.

I don't think there is such a functionality that allow you "merge" two
projects in 3.0.
