Append Artifacts Policy

I want to mandate a certain artifact so I created a lifecycle and added the Append Artifacts policy. I want to just check Entrance to State, but it only works if I also check Asset Save. The problem then is that if I modify the asset it reapplies the policy which I don't want to happen. Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding the check boxes?

Hi

Your understanding of the check boxes is correct. I added an Append Artifacts policy to a lifecycle and set it to only run on Entrance to State and it worked for me. What version of RAM are you using? Could you provide a screenshot of your lifecycle configuration page? Maybe there is something unique in your configuration that is needed to replicate the issue.

Hi Sheehan, thanks for looking at the stuff I sent you and getting back to me. For the benefit of others reading this posting, it turns out to be a problem in 7.2.0.2 that is fixed in 7.5

Note that the append policy has the "override on collision" option, which will not reCreate the attach if the artifact is already there (and potentially updated by a user).
