supported identity management options for RBF/RTC/RAM seem to be limited to IBM Tivoli Directory and MS Active Directory - are these truly the only options?

Altamura,

Probably those are the most common LDAP tools available, but are not the only supported options. It's possible use others solutions like OpenLDAP, Novell eDirectory, etc., or a totally customized user registry, that embrace your special needs (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ramhelp/v7r5m0/topic/com.ibm.ram.web.doc/topics/t_config_user_registry.html).
