Restricting Team Area List to Teams in Current Project Area

How do I restrict the list of teams to be only the current project area?
For example: the adoption work item type has the "Affected Teams" attribute which is of type Team Area List. When I go to choose the affected teams, I am shown all project areas, when I only want to see the current project area.
Also, I am using 3.0 M8.
