Archived teams and teams from other projects show up in Team Area list

I created a custom attribute called Assigned Team and the attribute type is Team Area.  When I use this attribute in my work item, it gives me a list of all of the teams in the project, but it also gives me all of the archived teams in this project as well as all the teams in other projects. 

How do I get the Team Area attribute type to just show me Active teams within this one project (without archived and other project area teams)?
