Upgrading RTC client from 2.0.0.2 to 2.0.0.2 ifix03 version

Darshan Patel (7133) | asked Jun 14 '10, 12:02 p.m.
Hi,

Can any one tell me how can i upgrade RTC client from 2.0.0.2 to 2.0.0.2 Ifix03 version. I already have 2.0.0.2 installed on winXP (SP 2)machine. I am not able to find the launchpad.exe and repository.conf file from the 2.0.0.2 iFix03 installers by which i can upgrade from IM.

The installer which i have for ifix03 contains one eclipse.exe executable file and by running this i am able to open RTC client but i have not installed it in the local machine. I can run that from any other machine also without installing it.

Is anyone know how can i install it?

Thanks.

Open Installation Manager and select Update option.
By default, this will search the web for updates and will find iFix3.

If you want to install it locally not from the web, follow same
procedure but first add the local repository to your Installation
Manager (File -> Preferences -> Repositories).

Hope this helps,

Chemi.

Hi

If you have 2.0.0.2 installed using the Installation Manager (IM) - then run the IM you already have and select the Update option. This should go and look for updates from the ibm website - and let you perform the upgrade.

It may also download a new version of IM in the process.

Hi Chemi/Anthony,

Thanks both of you for your help in this.

Actually, the installer which i have for ifix03 do not have the conf files which is required by Installation Manager so that i can not add repositories in Installation manager.
Have you installed it any time?

Via Web it is giving me some firewall issues while connecting to the IBM site. I will check that and will let you know about it.

I have installed myself via Web without any problem. In the preferences
of Installation Manager, you can setup a proxy server if it is the
problem you are finding in your infrastructure.

I haven't upgraded to iFix3 in off-line mode downloading the iFix3 zip
file but it is estrange it doesn't contain the repository configuration
file there.

Thanks for your support on this.
