CQConnector loses connection to CQ after backup

We have weekly and nightly backup outages scheduled for our CQ databases. When a CQ database is taken down, the CQConnector gateway loses connection to the database. When the CQ database comes back up the CQConnector gateway should reconnect to the database but it never does. Therefore we have to manually restart the CQConnector gateway to reestablish the connection. Is this a known issue or a defect? Is there a workaround?

I have copied the log below. You can see that the gateway lost connection at 7:03 and we restarted the gateway at 7:59.

I found this work item, https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/47027, but obviously it's not working. If you are running the CQ gateway as a windows service, then maybe you can write a script that starts the CQ gateway when the CQ database comes back up.

We are running all our gateways on Linux and planing to write reoccurring cron jobs to restart the gateways. Nevertheless, this is still a defect and would be nice to have fixed. Would you like me to submit a new defect for this?
