P42RTC Filtered searches of change sets

Danil Suits (81177) | asked Aug 24 '10, 1:06 p.m.
In RTC, how do I get a list of all change sets that modify any directory/sub-directory/files contained in either?

In Perforce, I would invoke the Filter Submitted Changelists dialog, and then use the Selected files option to identify the specific root folder I was interested in.

Digging around in the RTC client, I seem to be able to filter my searches to a specific component in a a specific location. I can add an additional filter to restrict myself to specific files (this appears to be equivalent to getting the file history).

But I haven't managed to find a filter that works between the two extremes. Can it be done?

This is work item 66832. It is marked as "high priority" but
unfortunately did not make the cut for the RTC-3.0 release.

A more general form of 66832 occurs in work item 102507. You might want
to add a comment to one of those work items, indicating your interest,
and any preferences you might have for the alternatives being discussed.
