RTC and Data Studio

Don't know if this is the right forum for this.

Say I am a DB2 developer and need something like IBM Data Studio to develop my stored procedures etc.

I am part of a development team and we are using RTC.

How can I install both Data Studio and RTC client in the same "eclipse" instance?

Use installation manager to install Data Studio into existing (installation manager) RTC client?
RTC client into existing Data Studio?

Installing both RTC client and Data Studio into "vanilla" eclipse 3.4.2?

BTW the IBM patches needed now conflicts with later eclipse patches for same modules.

In theory, any of those three approaches could work. The third choice
is probably unnecessary, since both Data Studio and RTC effectively
provide you with a client with one of the installs done, i.e. with one
client already installed into Eclipse.

I have had the most luck with option 2: installing the RTC client into
an existing XXX client (I haven't actually tried to install it into an
existing Data Studio client).

Cheers,
Geoff
