the short answer is no, I think that is principaly why the integraton to ReqPro exists. Take your requriements from RRC to ReqPro and build in the tracebility there.
Possibly attributes and reports could simulate this, with some little effort. We've not tried it, but have passed the idea about a couple of times. Alternatively, RRC 3.0...... |
the short answer is no, I think that is principaly why the integraton to ReqPro exists. Take your requriements from RRC to ReqPro and build in the tracebility there. RRC does have a project page that does allow you to specific a query to show what has changed since a particular date/time. It also allows the tracing between Development Work Items and Test Cases (together with their status to be shown) - if the RTC and RQM integrations are used. In addition to this further traceability can be performed using either RequisitePro or DOORS. As we evolve our solution, you will also see much more query trace changes support for multi-level tracing/linking in DOORS Requirements Professional, which is currently available as an early Beta. |
Does the 3.0.1 release of Rational Requirements Composer bring any features to trace changes in artifacts? Like notification saying that linked requirements have been changed.

Is it possible to trace changes in Artifacts in RRC ? Is there a way to trace artifacts in RRC like the way it can be done in Reqpro? Using the new Trace tree in RRC 3.0.1 you can insert trace columns into a grid view that let you see the changes for any traced requirements/artifact. You can scroll/move down the grid vertically to see where a requirement has been impacted somewhere in the traceability tree. If you want to isolate changed requirements quickly then a simple filter from the left side menu area will eliminate anything you don't want to analyze. If you want to see the specific changes then you can open a changed artifact and look at the change history to see who changed it, what they changed, and when. Jared Pulham RRC Product Manager |
