Cannot view RTC Reports using linux client

Phil Rumble (6196) | asked Apr 20 '10, 9:50 p.m.
I cannot view RTC reports using the linux client.

I get the error.

xxxx:9443 uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed.

(Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid)

I am using the external web browser (firefox) and it thinks that the
certificate is valid.

Any Ideas?

It's a feature. IE7 does the same thing, it just lets you click through and you can install the cert pretty easily.

For FF, you need to be a bit more persistent, but you can also do it.

The embedded browser used to view reports in the rich client (on
Windows) is IE, so Martina is correct, you're seeing the Internet
Explorer behaviour.

XulRunner changed their API in 1.9 so that the browser should provide a prompt in this situation. The SWT browser doesn't have anything like this in the version of Eclipse shipped with RTC. So you can downgrade to a lower version of XulRunner or check out the Eclipse bug for the workaround until RTC ships on Eclipse 3.5 or higher.
