How do you change your password in RRC?

If you are using your corporate LDAP directory, then use that mechanism to change passwords.

If not, each person can change their password (and add/update their photo) using their web browser with a URL like this:

1. Log in to the RRC server through the web client
https://:/rdm/web/rrc

2. Go to the admin UI
https://:/rdm/admin

3. Find your name in the upper right. click the down arrow to the right of your name (looks like a "V") to edit your profile.

4. Change password or update photo

(if your RRC server is configured to use an external directory you will only be able to update your photo)

Thanks Daniel you answered my question perfectly...

But for the use case where the user can not remember his/her password. As an Admin, if I login to the Admin Console and go to User Management, the change password button is greyed out. Is there a way for an Admin to change another users' password if they happen to forgot their password?

Someone suggested a technique in this thread below (I haven't tried it myself).

Thanks Daniel. I was looking at the post you sent. That should work assuming that you can log into that user. But if the user forgets the password, it seems there is no way of changing the password. Unless you update the tomcat-user.xml file explicitly.

I guess if you don't care to maintain the exact same username you could simply archive that user and create a new one.

Or (grasping for straws here)... I wonder what happens if you archive a user. Can you unarchive that user, and if so, can the administrator reset the password? Again, I haven't played with this.
