Possible to change the type of a work item?

We have an impediment in our project which should really be a task.

Is it possible to just change the same work item from being an
Impediment to a Task?

Hope this isn't a stupid question but I can't find where one can just
change the "type" of a work item on the fly.

We are using RTC 2.0.0.2

Run a query where you can see the work item in the work item view. Right button on the type and there should be an option to change the type. (Geoff Clemm mentioned how to do this in another forum entry)

I have seen cases where states did not align between work items so sometimes the state has to be manipulated in order to make this work.
