Yes, it is possible, go to Project Area Process Configuration tab, under Configuration Data, Work Items (advanced), shared work item templates, select the template need to be removed, and remove it.

But what about updating it?

We are considering a couple of templates that consist of a number of work items and it is likely that they will need 'refining' over time. Rather than delete and create from scratch (with obvious likelihood of not getting it right!), can they be updated.

Thanks, Nigel

No, you cannot update a template ... you have to save a new one and
delete the old one. Note: to update a template, keep around the tree of
work items from which you created the original template, and edit that
work item tree when you want to create a new version of the template.

Cheers,
Geoff
