Hello everyone
I am currently running RTC Eclipse client 2.0.0.1 on Windows Vista 64 bit. I tried to run update from IBM installation manager. It gives fails to update and gives the error below. One of the user here has Windows XP machine, he tried to update and got the same error. Can someone please let me know if this is a known issue ? If so what's the recommended way to update the client ?
Error updating.

I've created a defect for this:
https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/110870
I think you will be able to workaround this by using the repository on jazz.net to update. Here is what you would need to do:
1) In IM preferences go to the Repositories preference page
2) disable the checkbox at the bottom of the page labeled "Search service repositories during installation and updates" to keep IM from looking at the download.boulder.ibm.com site for the update (you can re-enable this after your RTC update is done).
3) add this repository:
https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/2.0.0.2/iFix1/install-repository/parts/client/repository.config
4) save the preference changes and proceed with the update.
This should pull the update bits from jazz.net instead of the Boulder site. The one difference I would expect with this approach is a password prompt. The Boulder site is not password protected, but you will need to use your jazz.net login to update from the jazz.net repository.

I'm suspicious that the error is related to going directly from 2.0.0.1 to 2.0.0.2 iFix 1 (that should work, but i'm speculating that not going to 2.0.0.2 which was an update released in-between you may be running into a previously unseen issue).
One other thing you could try which may be easier is, after you click the 'update' button and select the package to update in IM select, select the 'show all versions' checkbox so you can see the 2.0.0.2 update and try updating to it first. Then go back and see if you can update to the 2.0.0.2 iFix 1.
Hope that helps...

Got it installed and running, you only have to check the jazz repository or otherwise it get you the error. Also i updated the IM to the latest but don't think that had to do much. Only need to have check the jazz repository that you mention and everything goes well.
thanks,
