Hi Ian

Authentication is usually based on LDAP and SiteMinder does not appear to be an LDAP service (I think CA Directory provides an LDAP service that can be accessed via SiteMinder).

As a matter of interest, what are you using (or planning to use longer-term) for your app server?

The plan would be to use Websphere

The Jazz server is pretty well isolated from user authentication by the app server container, so a container using SiteMinder should be just fine.

What you will find over the next few milestones is that Jazz will start to take advantage of LDAP configurations to improve the user creation and permission stories. These enhancements won't be available with most non-LDAP authentication configurationz.
