Solicit an E-Signature when changing the state

How this RTC2.2.0.0.2 new feature works?

I setup the E-Signature precondition for the defectstatus change to 'Resolve', then try to change a defect status to 'resolve', get error ''Valid E-Signature required to transition workflow action resolve', which is correct.

My question is how to setup valid E-Signature required for change the workitem status?

Hi Sherry and Jeff,

once the E-Signature precondition is set, you should be able to select "Custom" tab.
From there you could enter your password for signature and then successfully save your changes !

Please also note that (and that's pretty important) :
- for pre-existing Work Items, to be able to proceed this way, you should proceed to some synchronization on adhoc work items
- this step is very well covered in Philippe's Blog :

Hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards,

Also, note that in 3.0.1, you will be able to flag the signature
attribute as required, just as built-in attributes are flagged when they
are required.

Cheers,
Geoff
