org.eclipse.datatools.enablement.oda.xm missing in JazzM5a

Hi,

I have been using jazzM5 and am developing a component over it. I have
recently migrated to M5a. I noticed that one of the dtp plugins
(org.eclipse.datatools.enablement.oda.xml) has been pulled out from the M5a
driver.
May, I know if this is just a blip, or is there a bigger issue behind this.

Thanks and Regards,
Praveen

Hi Praveen,

Are you talking about the client or the server? We include a very small
number of dtp plug-ins on the client - just enough to support our ODA
extensions for writing reports against the data warehouse. The intention
is that people who are writing reports will download and install BIRT
and DTP themselves. On the server, the subset of BIRT and DTP plug-ins
we ship is that subset required to render our reports on the server. The
set of plug-ins has likely changed (as we have picked up new versions of
both BIRT and DTP), and these plug-ins shouldn't be considered part of
the API of Jazz in general or the Reports component in particular.
