Burndown of single user story

Keeping historical data about individual users is considered unethical, even illegal in certain places. So it was decided not to expose such data.
I am not trying to track a single user. I work on a large project (100+ engineers). I have a user story which contains child tasks spanning three iterations. Those child tasks span engineers from various teams. I do not want to change the team area as this will disrupt their team iteration plans. I want to be able to show a burndown of just these tasks as progress towards the higher level story.
