Non attribute presentation Kind as cutom attribute type

Hi,
I was new to RTC extension development. And I am very eager to try this item. It may not be the right approach, but still like to get clarified from the experts. Creating custom attribute of type similar/replication of Non-Attribute presentation Kind eg. Attachments, History, Links, References etc.,

If not possible, Why is it so. Will be thankful, if some reference links provided.

You might or might not talk about https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2013/12/17/using-reference-presentations-to-create-links-and-show-linked-work-items-in-rtc/ , if so, this has nothing to do with extensions to RTC this is just configuring an existing capability.
