Hardware requirements for Jazz infrastructure
5 answers
The Academic Partnership, Centre for Advanced Studies would like to install a Jazz infrastructure in a University which would be accessible to other Universities. We need to determine the hardware requirements. Can someone help?
Hardware requirements are dependent on what you are trying to do. Are you wanting to use Requirements Composer? Perhaps you can elaborate.
Thanks,
Eric

We have not defined the requirements yet. I would guess the following:
- Rational Requirements Composer
- Rational Team Concert
- Rational Software Analyser
- Rational Performance Tester
- Rational Functional Tester
- and more
The purpose of this hub is to expose Rational to the future work force personel. Graduates who are familiar with Rational will want to use it in their work place.
The products in the hub will be available to many Universties, therefore some professors may want some specific products. We can estimates 500 concurrent clients.
We will need to estimate an infrastructure that would initially satisfy the above, but that can grow over the next 3 years.
Do these products run on Windows, P-series AIX, Linux and / or mainframe?
How many processors do we need, how many servers?

This sounds like you are simply interested in Rational Products across the board - not just Jazz based Rational products. This forum specifically supports Composer. Those that monitor this forum may have some insight to other Rational products, but are probably not the best to answer these questions.
As for Composer, system requirements can be found here:

If you are interested in the Jazz C/ALM products here are some support configurations

And some information in deploying in a high availability configuration
