Best Practices for Integrating RTC with Jenkins for CI/CD

kimon kimasoft (11) | asked 13 hours ago

Hello

I am exploring ways to streamline integration between Rational Team Concert (RTC) & Jenkins for a CI/CD pipeline. Specifically, I am looking for best practices to:

  1. Automatically trigger builds in Jenkins upon work item updates / code commits in RTC.
  2. Retrieve build results & display them back in RTC work items.
  3. Handle authentication & permissions between the two tools securely.

Additionally; I would like to know if there are any plugins / pre-built templates that simplify this integration. Are there any specific compatibility considerations for newer versions of Jenkins or RTC? I have checked https://jazz.net/forum/questions/264551/jenkins-and-rtc-integration-aws developer guide for reference but still need advice .

Any guidance for a step-by-step setup would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you !

Also, go to the EWM documentation and search for Jenkins and review the help topics.
