Requirement revision automatic updating

Hulda Hu (11111) | asked Apr 15, 11:04 p.m.

Under Requirement Management environment on DOORSNext, a Requirement artifact has a default Revision attribute. How can the Revision attribute be automatically updated when some other attributes of the Requirement artifact are changed?

I don't recognise a built-in attribute Revision so it's probably one defined by you/your company in your component/project.

This might be possible using a DOORS Next extension see https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RMExtensionsMain to update an attribute, but AFAIK there's no concept of an extension running automatically in the background.

If your concern is about impact of change then you could use link validity https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/engineering-lifecycle-management-suite/lifecycle-management/7.0.2?topic=traceability-link-validity-in-elm - Link validity is a status on a link between artifacts to indicate whether the contents of two artifacts meet the intended meaning of their link. Learn about using this information to achieve consistency across, and propagate changes through, linked data.
